Phoebe Whitehead

Wallington High School

Phoebe Whitehead from Wallington High School undertook a two week placement at the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology at Kings College London in Dr Hindges group.

“We used fluorescent imaging which provided me with the experience and knowledge which could only be found from being their first hand. I am so grateful to the lab I worked with, who gave me this amazing opportunity and opened the door for me into research science. I was proud of what I had achieved and I now have a better understanding of what research science was all about.”

"I would say to any Year 12 considering a career in science to apply – I learnt so much and enjoyed every second of this once in a lifetime opportunity. It was fantastic!”
