In2scienceUK and UCL are recruiting for a fully-funded In2research 22/23 programme, which we think would interest your network.
In2research is a year-long programme designed to run alongside university study or work commitments. It aims to support people from low socioeconomic backgrounds who can stay in London during summer 2023 to progress to research degrees and careers in Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, and STEM.
With 100 places available and a package of support consisting of online skills workshops, mentoring, inspiring away days and an 8-week paid summer research work placement, In2research are looking out to reach out to the people who would most benefit from the programme.
In2research has been carefully designed to make a significant social impact, providing funded opportunities to people underrepresented in academia. Your support in reaching these people would be hugely appreciated.

Curious about getting into research? In2research is a one-year programme that works alongside university studies or work. By joining In2research, you will learn about and develop skills for research degrees and careers.
The programme consists of online workshops, mentoring, inspiring away days and a paid 8-week summer research placement. To apply for In2research, you will be currently studying an Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, or STEM degree (or have graduated) and be able to stay in London during summer 2023 for the research placement.

In2research is a new programme developed by In2scienceUK and UCL that aims to inspire and support people in discovering research careers in Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, and STEM. The programme includes:
- 4 workshops delving deeply into key skills such as cover letter writing, analysing research papers, and networking
- A mentor selected based on your subject interests who helps you apply insight from workshops to your career path
- 2 away days to build on your confidence whilst practising key networking skills
- A full-time, 8-week summer research placement including a tax-free stipend of £3000
This free programme has been carefully designed by an award-winning charity and top tier universities to benefit the careers of those who go into research. Successful participants will have practical work experience, guidance from mentoring, and academic skills to use in future research degrees and work applications.
To apply for In2research, you will be currently studying a degree (or have graduated) and be able to stay in London during summer 2023 for the research placement.
