Shirlayne is a Director at M Group Telecom. A first-generation university student from Belfast, she studied Engineering Science at the University of Oxford before joining BT’s graduate fast-track programme, where she built a 28-year career in senior leadership. She has led multi-billion-pound businesses across public and private sectors worldwide, with highlights including working with the Life Sciences industry globally, as well as collaborations with leading technology and telecoms companies. Having supported her own children into their chosen universities, she is passionate about widening access and using her experience to inspire and encourage young people from all backgrounds to pursue STEM studies and careers.
