Applications for the 2023/24 programme are now closed!

You can express your interest for the 2024/25 programme below.

What is the application process

Applications will open in summer  2024. We advise that you check your eligibility in advance. You will have the opportunity to select from our list of placements ahead of applying. As part of the application process, we will ask you to submit a CV and prepare short paragraphs to answer questions related to your area of interest and the In2research programme. If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to interview!

*90% of these places will be supported by Office for Students and Research England, which supports access and participation in research study for Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups.

Check your eligibility for the programme

Read through our list of placements, and pick your top 3

Step 3

Create a CV using our CV template (if you don’t have one already)

Step 4

Prepare a short paragraph to the questions which will be in the application regarding why you are interested in:

– postgraduate research
– your research subject interests
– the In2research programme
– the 3 placements you have chosen

Step 5

Fill in the application form

Step 6

If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to an interview!

As part of the 2023/24 programme application process, we asked applicants to submit a CV. The success of their application was not dependent on their CV.

Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct for the In2research programme plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for participants, Mentors, Placement Hosts and everyone involved. This code serves as a guiding set of principles and values that promote In2scienceUK’s mission to inspire, engage, and support young individuals in pursuing careers in STEM, Arts and Humanities, and Social Sciences.
